Our lovely year of 2011 is over! But there were so many special moments that we’ll never forget. For that reason we prepared a retrospective. Hope you like it!

#First Semester 2011

January – Tay posted a tweet saying that would be a lovely day to visit France: less than 24 hours they were there! And everybody was wondering what the hell they were doing there. What was that Midem about? Tay giving lectures? Would it be an evidence that Shout it Out was about to be released around the world? Questions and more questions. And what was the answer? We discovered that together during the year.

February – Give a Little was released! Probably this is the most controversial video clip. Where was the mega production? What the hell was that paint on the background? The kids were so cute. And finally the video clip was in the top 20 at VH1. And even better, they were in the first position!

March – Hanson has been to London. They announced 5 of 5 in London for June. That drove fans crazy. And they get a record label to release Shout it Out there. Ah, and in March we finally met Junia, who is one year old now. And there was a contest: the better remix version of Give a Little would have a prize. Many people tried and there were very beautiful versions.

April – Hanson made a cover of Slipknot! “What?! Are you sure?!” Ok it was just April 1^st.  But wait: are they going to Dance with Stars? Will Tay dance across the floor? No, they just sang. We still want all the Ice, Ice, Baby (Vanilla…)!

June – 5 of 5 in London. Month we were hurried up in the newsroom of PHB as Bond used to say. There wasn’t live stream as everybody expected, but they caused a commotion in the press. End they announced some concerts in Europe. Would they come to Brazil, too?

#Second Semester

July – They announced the dates for the Musical Ride Tour. And we were supposed to choose the setlist. Really, they are fantastic!  And Give a Little was exhibited in cinemas. Before Vold’s death, the American cinemas exhibited the video clip. And the song also became soundtrack of the movie Trust. Congratulations, Hanson!

July 25th – Day of F5. They announced the dates of Brazilian tour. It drove PHB crazy. The team was trying to update the site but there were so many visitors that the server was unavailable. One member imploring for the responsible for the server, the other one typing F5 over and over and another member trying to update via twitter. What a lovely day! 

 August– Another WTF Hanson! They were part of the Katy Perry’s video clip. Last Friday night was a huge success. And there was the math version of MMMBop. That was so cute! That’s important to remember that the tickets for the concert in São Paulo and the “pista Premium” for the show in Porto Alegre were sold out. 

October – The Hanson’s house was available for sale. Who is prone to pay millions of dollars to buy that? And what about the instruments available for sale on eBay? Moreover, think about broke Brazilian fans because of the tour in Brazil.

November – The time came! It Started in Porto Alegre on November 4th and ended on November 6^th in São Paulo.  And there were fans that had the opportunity to go to Argentina, Chile and Mexico! It’s better to stop here because we would spend hours talking about what that month meant to us. We just would like to thank you all the T4F crew that helped us out!

Eventually, we would like to thank to everybody who contributed to us this year, mainly Juca and the girls who helped us to distribute the t-shirts. You have no idea of how much important it is for us. And we would like to thank you fans, that access the website and are part of  this project, always supporting us. We feel that 2012 will be very special (What, Zac?! 5 of 5 in Brazil?!). And you can count on us. There is some good new stuff going on. Happy new year for all of us!

And I, Scarlet, would like to thank the team for allowing me to contribute to this wonderful project. They develop a very beautiful work supporting the band, updating in real time and sharing news with us.  You guys have no idea of how much it means to me. Thank you very much!

About Hanson in Brazil, TV Xuxa aired an interview conveyed on November 6^th in São Paulo. That’s a nice interview, take a look:

There’s another interview, a very nice one by the way, conduct by a fan to Em Alta. That’s funny, especially when Zac says that maybe they send a blender as a wedding gift for that man who posted videos asking the band to play in his wedding party. Check it out.

Live With Gaby, in London, aired an interview in which they talk about books, the song MMMBop among other topics. At the end of the TV show they sang Where’s the Love Acapella. Watch it at our channel at youtube.

Zac gave an interview by phone to The Fly. That’s hilarious, Zac’s answers were very sarcastic. That was clear that the interviewer knew nothing about the band, but Zac took advantage from this opportunity to have some fun. It worth’s it, take a look.

Hanson has been to the Oxford University to an interview in which they talk about the music industry, achievement, among other topics. That’s very interesting.

#Hanson Beer

Everybody probably heard about MMMHop, the new Hanson beer. Who had the idea? Tay or Ike? Well VH1, Terra, Globo, Uol, among other sites, helped to spread the piece of new and as a consequence Hanson was TT’s in Brazil. Did you think how they would be after drinking all the beers? OM Double though of it and posted some pictures. That’s very funny! Lol And how do you think the can would be? Creativity Online  showed us how it is supposed to be.

#Tay’s diary with picutures of South American Tour

Tay’s text about the tour in South America is fantastic. Very well written and there are very beautiful pictures. All the text is beautiful, but there’s a sentence that deserves to be highlighted: “Be assured, you never have to apologize for your passion”. So we, Brazilian Fans, don’t have to regret because we love them intensely.

#Hanson weekend

In Europe…

Hanson hanging around, tasting whisky (right Ike?), wearing strange hats… lol Tay taught Zac how to take pictures and now they are both posting pictures at H.net blog. Check the pictures out: Tay took pictures from Buenos Aires, Germany, Netherlands, Italy e Strasbourg. Zac took pictures from Stuttgart and France.

In terms of media, there’s an interview for London 24 and another one on radio Silverline (picturess and audio). Radio BBC also interviewed them and, eventually, there are review and pictures from Amsterdam and also some pictures from Manchester.

#Christmas time

It seems that Hanson business on Christmas became a tradition. This year we have decorative balls for the Christmas tree, cookies shapes and also… Guess what! Discount! Yeah, that’s right! Members had discount during all November. Ah! There’s also a tacky cup (ok, it’s kinda cute… lol) and, eventually, there’s a Christmas card and when you buy it you get a song about their favorite Christmas sweater (o.o?). For the ones who did not signed in Twitter, TT are the most commented topics and the guys were there. Why? Because… One of the candidates of X-Factor (similar to Ídolos in Brazil) decided to sing MMMBop! The version is kinda #FAIL mainly because she forgot the ‘Du bi da ba dubop’. But that’s okay. Watch the video and draw your own conclusions.

#First Day – Porto Alegre

Well, that’s the first time the members post at the same time. And it worked!

Om Thursday, November 3th, Hanson arrived at he airport around 10:20 pm, taking by surprise the fans who were landing at Porto Alegre. They spent around half an hour distributing autographs and taking pictures with everybody! As soon as they joined the van, people took cabs in order to follow them from the airport to the hotel.

On Friday the PHB crew arrived at Casa do Gaúcho in the morning. There was an enormous line. The sound check had already begun, but they weren’t there yet. After a long time a van just came up. They were inside it! An amount of fans ran to the car. Ike gave attention to everybody, Tay spent some time with the fans too and Zac just  blew a kiss  and disappeared inside Casa do Gaúcho.

MOE started at 4:30 pm and, based on what Rebecca said, there were around 250 people at the event (maybe there were even more fans!). They gave instructions, always the same: “you’re privileged, members only, pictures without flash” and so on and so forth… After they were on the stage, playing songs from the EP, high point of the show was Tay on drums playing Sonny Get Your Gun and Bittersweet. After the concert, time for questions. A fan asked them about the possibility of a 5 of 5 in Brazil. The answered yes! \o/ Tay said that the concerts here were very well accepted and there’s a possibility of a 5 of 5 here next year. After the concert they took pictures with fans in groups of twenty people. These pictures will be available at Hanson.net.

There was an opening act before the concert. GRU (one of the members of the band) is an excellent musician. At 9:00 pm people started the countdown. Around 9:10 pm Hanson joined the stage. The audience was amazing. No one yelled during the concert. People just sung out loud (louder than the band) and everybody could see the smile in their faces. It was clear how much happy and surprised they were. The other two musicians didn’t come this time, but the high quality of the sound with three guys was amazing. The concert lasted 1h 40min. # Second Day – São Paulo

Jeez! Could someone explain what happened? What a week! A tornado passed by and took with it our strength, our voice… And there was no update. But we came back to post the latest news.

Reviews, videos and pictures of the concerts will be posted in the Hotsite. It will take some time for us to organize everything, so please be patient. There are some pictures in our gallery. You can also take a look at our Fanpage on Facebook which has been updated every time.

The concert in São Paulo could not be better! They were excited and smiling as much in São Paulo as in Porto Alegre. There were some anxious fans but nothing that could spoil the concert or disturb other fans.

There was a press conference before the concert (there are some videos in our channel at youtube) in order to talk about Shout It Out, that was released here in a digital version. They also answered some questions. The high point of the interview was Zac telling that they are negotiating the return to Brazil for a 5 of 5 in Rio de Janeiro.

#Argentina

After the concert, they flew straight to Argentina on Monday in the morning. As soon as they arrived, they gave an interview to the TV Show Futból para Todos (part 1 part 2 and part 3). In the following day there was the concert. The setlist was basically the same as in Brazil. Lucy was the only change. The Argentinean fans said “ole, ole, ole, Hanson, Hanson” that was very nice! pictures in our gallery very soon. Take a look at the setlist (any mistake it’s Bond’s handwriting fault!).

#Chile

Unfortunately we could know travel to Chile and Mexico, but we heard that the concerts in both were very very cool! The setlist in Chile was basically the same, they just played Kiss Me When You Come Home instead of Lucy. The fans were very excited and very nice. Take a lot at the setlist:

#Mexico

There’s almost anything about the concert in Mexico yet, but you know that feeling “I wanted so much to be there”? It’s said that there was Elvis’ cover and Lucy came back to the setlist. When we find something else we update the post.

The Press there was a little bit slowly, but we find four articles: Quien (mind the name of the songs: all wrong), Las Noticias Mexicos in which Zac says that they don’t think of recording their songs in Spanish ‘cause they don’t know the language, Globedia with a review of the show and eventually a very nice article at  Mexican Terra website.

Shout it Out has been already released in Brazil, it is a digital version we know, but we already can ask for Give a Little in the radios in all over Brazil. There’s a program in radio Transamerica called Segunda Sem Lei, in wich they play songs that we don’t listen to that much in the radios. We can try to ask them to play it, uh? There are three nice previous interviews ‘bout Hanson in Brazil. UOL interviewed Ike and take a look at what he said: “Brazilian fans reaction has always been a level above any other country” (free translation). Ike, we love you even more after you say that!

Zero Hora website interviewed Zac, who also “I particularly think Brazilian fans are amazing. One of the most passionate, noisy and crazy ones, in the better of the senses. Something we’ve never seen before”.
